LEADERSHIP CHANGE AT NJALA UNIVERSITY AFTER MONTHS OF STRUGGLE
It started with little drops of water. Now, it would appear as if the river running just behind Professor Abu Sesay's official residence on Mokonde campus has swept the man away. We know of struggles between University administrations and lecturers are common in most parts of the developing world in particular but the one that has ended with Prof. Abu Sesay being told to go was unnecessarily too protracted. We don't want to go into the gory details of what really happened.

*WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO OUR DEAR MP FROM CONSTITUENCY 38?*
We are yet to officially hear from the Hon. Member of Parliament for constituency 38 on the question of how he came to be detained by police on
allegation that he violated Public Health Emergency laws relating to the preparation and burial of his father's corpse. First of all we sympathise with the MP for his loss but we really need him to speak out now. He could do it through a spokesman if the police deny him access to the media. We are very concerned because:

DID WE LEARN ANY LESSONS FROM THE AfDB ELECTION IN ABIDJAN?
In the end our candidate, Samura Kamara was the first person to be sent packing from the race to become AfDB president. We've said in this space that the man is more than competent for that job but from what we've now realised, it takes more than that to land a job as important as the presidency of the AfDB. Kamara should be back at his desk in our Foreign Ministry right now. We hope he has recovered sufficiently and is not distracted from his job back home by this AfDB issue.
