We woke up one morning to pictures of Rasta Sengs paying unannounced visits to the different ministries and departments at Youyi Building splashed all over social media. There were commentaries about this new guy checking those offices to see whether civil servants are normally at their desk as required to serve for the people.
GENTO SAYS HE IS OUT OF POLITICS
Gento says his days in active politics are over. That’s what he wants us to believe. His comments, made on local radio have been widely shared on social media and that has not been challenged or even modified either by personally or his media handlers. So as far as we are concerned Gento is finished with active politics in this country. Active politics in his case would mean taking a second stab at trying to be Mayor of Freetown.
PILING UP MATTRESSES ON STREET CORNERS IN PARIS
We’ve seen pictures of mattresses piled up in street corners in the great city of Paris. People are dragging their mattresses out of the bedrooms and dumping them on the streets because those mattresses have been invaded and occupied by BED BUGS. It would appear as if shops selling mattresses in Paris are doing very brisk business these days.
SANCTIONS: NIGER CUTS THE NATIONAL BUDGET BY 40%
We are reaching the point of reality in Niger where soldiers kicked their president out and declared themselves as the new leaders of that country. Months later they are still detaining the president and his family. Bad as that may be, they now face a more serious challenge than the mess they have driven themselves into.
